The Morenci Turquoise Mine is located in Greenlee County in Southeast Arizona. Morenci turquoise has been mined by Native American peoples since before the 1500’s, with its largest production period in the 1970’s and is currently near depletion. Morenci Turquoise is highly valued due to its signature pyrite quartz inclusions and fine-quality turquoise.
